A GLAD AND FEARLESS SPIRIT
That I am not worthy of praise, I myself know full well ... whoever will, let him freely scold, slander, condemn my person, my life, my works, my doings. It is already forgiven him. I am nothing at all, but for the Word of Christ I give answer with joyful heart and vigorous courage, and without respect of persons. To this end God has given me a glad and fearless spirit, which shall not be embittered, I trust, not in all eternity.
UNWORTHY
"I am nothing at all, and
Undeserving is my middle name
But I sing with joy to God Most High
For His spirit of love, an inward flame."
I have come to understand what Pastor Charles Spurgeon meant when He once wrote,
"Wealth and honor I disdain;
Earthly comforts, Lord, are vain,
These will never satisfy,
Give me Christ, or else I die."
